YouTube Obsessed: June

So it is the end of the month and it has actually been two months since one of these posts but I am back with four awesome YouTube videos!

1. Can't Stop the Feeling Cover by Tyler Ward (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYbUa-uN_jw)- I have had this playing everyday for the month. The song is super catchy and I am in love with Tyler Ward so it was a cover that I automatically love. Tyler has an amazing story and such a passion for music.

2. Letter from the Refuge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVoWyO2TEuY)- For all my fellow Broadway nerds this video is for you. This is a song that was added for the tour of Disney's Newsies and it honestly made the show even better. It is a phenomenal song performed by an amazing actor.

3. Jon Dorenbos AGT Audition (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCyXy4GH-O8)- Jon Dorenbos is a Pro Football player for the Philadelphia Eagles and he is also a magician and he is AMAZING! I have really gotten into this season of America's Got Talent and I watch it every Tuesday so if you watch please talk with me during the show!

4. ThatcherJoe (https://www.youtube.com/user/ThatcherJoe)- This is actually a user that I have recently found and I love his videos! He does really funny pranks and is super hilarious. Go check him out and prepare to laugh.

I really hope you enjoy all of these videos and explore more into who made them. They are my favorites and I have watched them so many times. I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to share it with a friend and I hope you have an amazing week and I will talk to you guys soon!

A Special Visitor

I am very fortunate to have many friends all over the nation and when one of my friends that lives far away comes to visit, it is very special. Amanda lives very far away from me in Massachusetts and her family recently came to visit for vacation. So for her first night with me, I took her to Dominion Raceway.

We headed down to the raceway and stayed there to watch the local series racers run their racers. The night started out with Bandolero racing and on one of the first laps a driver hit the wall bringing out a red flag because he had hit the wall pretty hard. The kid was okay but it was a pretty hard hit. Then we watched some U-Cars and Legend cars but their races ran pretty smooth but they did have their little cautions. The main event for the night was a Whelen Late Model race. I know a team and we were rooting for them! Sadly they wrecked early in the race but the last lap of the race was pretty exciting.

The next day Amanda and her family came over for dinner and to watch the Xfinity race. We slowly realized that our families are very identical. We watched the race and all groaned as Sam Hornish Jr. won. We had dinner again together on Tuesday.

On Wednesday my mom and I took the kids I watch to the zoo and we met Amanda and her mom there and spent another day together. We saw the pandas and lions and all the animals. I also got to meet up with another friend from Twitter, Grace! This was super exciting for me because Grace lives far away too so it was a great day!

Finally on Thursday, Amanda and I were joined by our mothers and we ventured into DC. We started by walking to the Natural History Museum and seeing the Hope Diamond and some other fun photography exhibits. Then we headed over to the American History Museum and the fun began. We saw the first American flag and the presidential dress and then headed downstairs to the Transportation exhibit. There were all these cars and sets to make it look like you were back in the different eras. Well they also had some people to make it seem real and I couldn't help myself but to pose with them. It became a very fun joke that continued for a long time. After we finished walking through that museum we headed to some monuments and The White House. We plan on moving there some day so we had to visit and take a few pictures! After that we headed for a very stressful Metro ride because of track work but what's a trip to DC without stress am I right? It just gave us time to plan Amanda's next visit. We made it home after a trip to Chick-Fil-A and it was time to say see ya later to her whole family. It was a sweet sorrow when someone you are truly connected too and have so much in common with but it helps knowing they will be back soon.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I have to let you know that I took so many pictures that they cannot fit in this post without being overwhelming so stay tuned to my social media for those pictures to come out slowly but surly and picking my favorites was super hard. This was a great week with so many memories.

Now I am a person that loves stats and checking my numbers and I have to thank you guys for 1800 reads! This is huge for me know that this little blog I started for fun is actually reaching people and I do hope you enjoy it. I really cannot thank you guys enough.

I hope you enjoyed this post and all the pictures that are posted. It was a fun time and a great start to summer. I am so excited for all the adventures coming up and I cannot wait to share! I will talk to you guys later.

What's on My iPhone?

Hey guys so today I am going to be doing a highly requested post called What's on my iPhone. I am really excited to do this post and share some cool apps with you guys! So let's get started!

So I have an iPhone 6s and I love it! I have all the normal features and all that. My lock screen is a picture of Seanna and I from Martinsville and my home screen is another picture from Martinsville of Seanna, Ryan, and I.
Lock Screen
Home Screen

So when you unlock my phone my home page has all the basic apps on it along with my email and an app for school so I can check my grades, I also have Google Photos on there so that I can back up my pictures to my Google account and have them for blog posts too! On my home screen I also have a Photography group that has my Instasize and PicStitch. One of my favorite apps in this little group is the Nikon app! I have a little adapter that plugs into my camera and when it is turned on it gives me wifi and I can view the pictures off my camera when I am at the track or whatever. So when I am at the track and you are seeing pictures I am using that app!

So when you slide over to the next page I have some games and some other apps that I use for daily life. Let me tell you, Some of these apps are my favorite apps and I am really excited to share them with you.

The first app is VSCO. This is a photograpahy app that I use to edit my pictures I use on here or that I post on social media to give them the perfect look. I love it a lot and I am on it all the time. Another App is Disney Crossy Road. I love this app because I love Disney and it is just super addictive. Plus getting all the cute little characters is fun! Soundhound is a must have app! With Soundhound you can record a part of a song and it can tell you who the song is by and what the title is. It is really handy for when you don't know what a song on the radio is. I also have the Bloglovin' app because I can keep up to date on what my favorite bloggers are posting! It is also another way for me to check on my blog. I have the Britney Spears app which is a lot like the Kim Kardashian app but this one revolves around a music career. I also have the NEW Chick-Fil-A app because I love Chick-Fil-a and why not.

Now if you look at the bottom of my screen I have a social media group that has all my basic social stuff. Of course I love my Instagram and Twitter but another app I am super obsessed with right now is Periscope. If you follow me you know I am on there all the time broadcasting so follow me so you can join in and make sure my notifications are on for when I do makeup or Q&A broadcasts in the future!

This is all of the interesting things I have on my phone. I don't have anything way to crazy or exciting but I am pretty happy with what I have. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you can share this with a friend! Don't miss out on anything I post and follow me on social media and I will talk to you guys soon!

The Power of Makeup

So today's post is a little serious and a little personal for me. Today I am going to be doing the Power of Makeup and this has been done on YouTube by a lot of people and it is very inspiring. So here we go.

Many people find makeup to be a shield of insecurity. They use it to hide who they are or to impress someone but nowadays you don't find to many people that do makeup because the love doing makeup or because it just gives them more confidence. When I started doing makeup I was in middle school, the time where everyone is trying to learn who they are. When I went to middle school I knew absolutely no one. All my friends from elementary school had gone to a different middle school and I was basically left to make new friends. The first few weeks I looked at everyone and I saw who I really wanted to be friends with and what they did. I noticed a lot of girls did makeup so I started to do makeup to. I did it because everyone did makeup. I had been bullied in elementary school and I was determined to change who I was. I wanted to fit in but really I just felt like I stuck out more.

I went through middle school doing makeup and learning new things but I found my confidence taking a nose dive because while I was focusing on fitting in I realize now I was trying to fit in with the wrong people. When I got to 8th grade I realized I had friends who were talking behind my  back and they honestly weren't friends. I made the hard decision to let some friends go and I became friends with the people deemed as "outcasts". Let me tell you that I am still friends with those people and the people I thought were my friends are people who don't make the best decisions. Now you are probably wondering what this has to do with makeup. Yes I did my makeup to fit in but when I did my makeup I was hiding who I was under layers or makeup and the real me was hidden away.

I am now prepping for my senior year of high school and I can tell you that I still do makeup everyday but not to fit in. I do makeup because it gives me confidence and makes me feel beautiful. I don't do it so other will like me or so that boys will like me. I do it because it makes me feel good. There is no harm in doing makeup but make sure you are doing it for you. If someone doesn't like you because you don't wear makeup then you don't need them in your life. I have started this series called Beautiful You. This is a series about making yourself feel more confident in yourself not to pressure you into wearing make up or making you think that wearing makeup is the only way people like you. I believe that every girl in the world is a princess. Every single one. You are beautiful and that is meaning of this post is to tell you that you are beautifully made.

I now challenge you to The Power of Makeup. Do your makeup on half of your face. Now trust me it is way harder than it looks but then post it using the #ThePowerofMakeup and tag me in it so I can see. You are so much more beautiful than you think of yourself. I know it is hard to feel confident in a society that judges you on your looks but I promise that you are worth so much.

I hope you feel more confident in yourself after reading this. This is a big part of my story and a big part of who I am. Please share this with someone that you think needs to hear this. it is sad to know people who believe they are not worth anything. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk to you guys soon.

Beautiful You: Hair Tips

Hey guys so today I wanted to continue my beauty series Beautiful You with some of my favorite hair tips. Some have to deal with styling your hair and some of my favorite hair products. I am a person that spends a lot of time on my hair with styling and all that fun stuff so I have some awesome products.

1. I have been known to wear my hair straight and curly for different occasions and the first thing I always do is put heat protection on my hair. My hair is thick so I have to use a high heat setting. Heat protection can be a little expensive but you will be happy with how your hair looks when it isn't burned and dry.

2. Coconut Oil is super healthy for your hair. Put the oil in your hair and leave it for a little bit and it leaves your hair stronger and shinier. A plus with this product is that coconut oils are not crazy expensive and a lot of stores sell them.

3. If you have a lot of static in your hair I have the perfect solution for you. If you take a dryer sheet and put it over your hairbrush it helps remove static and trust me this one works.

4. Dry shampoo is a must for me. It is bad for your hair to wash it everyday and use heat but the solution is amazing. If you take dry shampoo and spray it all over your hair it makes your hair look and feel so much cleaner. I suggest the Pantiene dry shampoo. It is pricey but worth it.

5. Make sure you get a good quality hair straightener/curling iron. I bought a $20 straightener one time and I got what I paid for. It took forever to heat up and didn't work as well as the one I bought for more money. It is true that you get what you pay for. Now don't go pay over $100 for a straightener but don't pay $30 for one. Use common sense. No one knows your hair better than you.

6. There is a HUGE difference between a curling iron and a curling wand. If you are looking for looser curls that aren't as defined a curling iron is what you want. If you want more defined curls get a curling wand. I use a wand and I absolutely love it. It is hard to learn how to use it at first but there are so many tutorials on YouTube.

7. If you dye your hair like I do there is a shampoo/conditioner you should be using. The Suave Professional series for colored hair is awesome! I use the Moroccan Oil but all the scents are awesome and it helps keep your hair vibrant and look amazing.

8. If you have fly away/ baby hairs put some hair gel on the back of your comb and lightly brush them down. If that doesn't work try putting a little bit of gel on your fingers and smooth them down like that.

9. When conditioning your hair make sure you spend some time conditioning your ends. It helps your hair stay less greasy. Don't ask me how I just know it works and is now part of my shower routine.

10. If you have curly hair and you use mousse, make sure you flip your head when putting the mousse in your hair. This gives your hair volume while you apply your product.

I hope these help you with your hair and check out my Pinterest for more hair tips and other fun tips. I hope you enjoyed this post and please feel free to share this post! It helps so much when you share this with a friend or even just retweeting it adds readers! A Weekend of Racing

Hey guys so I went on another racing adventure this weekend and this time it took me all the way to TWO new racetracks! Starting off with New Jersey Motorsports Park. This place is super cool! It is a 2.2 mile road course and the whole facility is a big park and it is really pretty. I went for the ARCA Racing Series race which my guy Dalton Sargeant was running in. Now when I say this day was an adventure it really was.

The day started with us getting up at 4:45 in the morning and getting ready for a three hour drive to New Jersey. The drive was pretty uneventful. It was full of jamming and loving the beautiful summer weather.

We finally got to the track and went to walk around. My family got the general admission ticket and for a low price it got us a lot of stuff. We had access to the garage and you could basically walk into the garage and see what was going on. That is one thing I love about ARCA is that you have really good access to meeting drivers and seeing stuff happen. Don't get me wrong though I do love NASCAR but ARCA is more fan friendly. But anyhow so we got to watch the two practice sessions and Dalton did really well.

One of the people I have been dying to meet is Christopher Bell's girlfriend, Morgan Kemenah. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I got to talk to her for a good bit of time too and she is just so funny and sweet as can be.

Another thing that ARCA does that I like a lot is that before every race the drivers stand at their cars and sign autographs. Again I love the fan interaction and getting to see friends makes it pretty awesome too! I got see Dalton after seeing him at Orange County which was really fun. He is one of the best guys I know in racing and his team is so funny and they are always fun to see.

So finally the race came around and Dalton had a pretty eventful race, About a quarter of the way through the race Dalton spun and wound up going a lap down but he had an awesome come back and finished 3rd.

I also got the opportunity that weekend to go to Dominion Raceway for the K&N Pro Series East race. Dominion is a race track that is super close to my house and it is brand new so that was an adventure I had to check out. My mom and I drove down there for the race. I got to meet Noah Gragson and see a pretty fun race. I have always found the K&N Pro Series to be fun to watch. Those are some drivers that are going somewhere and man they showed that Monday. It was an awesome race and Spencer Davis was a first time winner and those are always fun to watch.

So basically my Memorial Day Weekend  was filled with racing but that is no shocker. I had such a fun time exploring new racetracks and having some good quality family time. I hope you all took time to honor the men and women that made free weekends possible.

I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure you are following me on Twitter for some questions for future post ideas and all that fun stuff!
